Library and Information Center
The library of the University of Crete is located in a modern building next to the halls of the Faculty of Philosophy. It has an extensive collection of archaeological books and journals, which is constantly being updated. The library's premises are accessible to people with disabilities. There is support equipment for visually impaired users and for users with mobility problems in the upper limbs.
The University of Crete Research Center
The University of Crete Research Center for the Humanities, Social and Education Sciences (UCRC) is an interdisciplinary research unit of the University of Crete and is based in Rethymno. UCRC hosts research laboratories and research groups as well as collaborating researchers, who carry out research in cutting-edge fields in the Humanities, Social and Education Sciences. The members of UCRC maintain close collaborations with esteemed research and academic institutions in Greece and abroad. The mission of UCRC is to promote high-quality research, innovation and excellence in Humanities, Social and the Education Sciences. In this context, UCRC supports interdisciplinary research, knowledge transfer, application of new technologies, researchers’ mobility, synergies with national and international institutions/organizations, dissemination of scientific knowledge and cooperation with society.

TALOS Lab
The Interdisciplinary Laboratory "TALOS-Artificial Intelligence for the Humanities and Social Sciences (TALOS Lab)" serves the educational and research needs of students in the fields of applications of artificial intelligence in the humanities and social sciences, the implications of artificial intelligence in science and society, and the ethics and philosophy of artificial intelligence. In addition, it conducts basic and applied research aimed at developing new knowledge and acquiring expertise, both at the theoretical and experimental - applied level. The main objective of TALOS Lab is the promotion of research, collaboration and exchange of scientific knowledge with other laboratories of the Foundation, as well as with laboratories of academic institutions and research institutions in Greece and abroad.
Laboratory for the Conservation of Archaeological Finds
The Laboratory for the Conservation of Archaeological Finds is housed in a refurbished building (Neophytou Patelarou and Patriarchou Grigoriou Street) in the Old Town of Rethymno, which belongs to the Sector of Archaeology and Art History. Its primary purpose is the study and conservation of archaeological finds from the Departmental excavations and the training of undergraduate and postgraduate students in recording, selecting and conserving the mobile archaeological finds.

Research Centre for Classical Studies
The Research Centre for Classical Studies is incorporated within the Classical Studies Division of the Department of Philology. It has been established with a view to providing up-to-date and effective support for teaching, research and continuing education in the field of Classical Studies and more generally in the study of Antiquity, with special emphasis on Greek, Greco-Roman and Roman Antiquity. Its prime objective is to promote research and to support the development of the various specialisms and teaching methods in the domain of Classical Studies.

The Lab of Educational Collections of Casts and Originals
The Lab of Educational Collections of Casts and Originals: The laboratory meets educational and research needs in the fields of Archaeology and Art History. It is used by members of staff, undergraduate and graduate students of the History and Archaeology Department. It houses archaeological assemblages, works of art, archives and other teaching material. The educational collections include casts and copies of ancient finds and works of art, as well as archaeological finds (e.g. pottery, lithics) dating from prehistory to modern times.

Laboratory of Papyrology and Epigraphy
The Laboratory of Papyrology and Epigraphy was officially established in 1998. Its primary goal is teaching and research in the fields of Papyrology and Epigraphy. The Laboratory welcomes mutual collaboration with colleagues, Institutes and Universities in Greece and abroad that share common interests. The Laboratory welcomes as members and associate-members the teaching, research and technical staff of the Department of Philology, active in the fields of Papyrology and Epigraphy, as well as the research staff appointed to the Laboratory.
