I really enjoyed my time in crete. It is an island so beautiful that even when we took a 3 hour drive to the west we just kept saying that even if the destination would be as beautiful as we expected the drive alone would have been worth the trip. But then the destination always was even more gorgeous than expected. The greek people in and out of the hospital were all super friendly and we found it very easy to connect with locals and were often invited out for a drink.

My favorite place in all of crete is Elafonissi, I would suggest going in the evening to see the sunset. Then it is less crowded and you can really see the pink sand. And every Erasmus Student should go eat at Peskesi in Heraklion, it is the best food I had in Crete.
