Gabriele Cornelli, Personnel, 2022

I had the chance to organize meeting with two graduate students: Eirini Drakou and Pablo A. de la Fuente. I also had the privilege to receive Prof. Balla in the University of Brasilia last June and had a few business meeting with her, in order to plan our future cooperation on Socratic and Platonic fields. I should finally express my deepest gratitude to Mrs. Thymiatzi and her International Office team at the University of Crete for her continuous support during the project.

Iakhe Aminov, Student, 2022

"My name is Iakhe Aminov, I study in Istanbul, and I came to Crete University as an Erasmus+ exchange student. I can easily say that my Erasmus+ experience was that of a lifetime, so I am deeply glad that I chose this university, although one struggle I had was with finding accommodation, but that was expected regardless of where I would go. All other aspects either met or exceeded my expectations. The international officer's staff are very kind and helpful, the professors are friendly, the library is huge and resourceful, the food in the restaurant is nice and cheap, and the campus is beautiful. I got to not only study new materials but also travel, make new friends, increase my personal and soft skills, gain intercultural understanding, and mature as a person. I thank the international officer Julia Stagaki, the professors, and my Greek friends as well as other Erasmus friends."

Fernarda Israel Pio - Student, 2022

My Erasmus International Credit Mobility KA 107 experience in Rethymno at the University of Crete has exceeded my expectations. I feel welcome both in the city and at the University. All my interactions have been very positive. I can see how the community does not hold back in efforts to make me feel comfortable and able to work and share my research. I'm very thankful for all the staff and especially for my supervisor. I'm sure that this period of my Ph.D. will make a difference in my career and personal life for the better.
