The Unit is responsible for coordinating security and protection policies and actions, aiming at the smooth and uninterrupted operation of the University of Crete.

Unit Responsibilities

The Security & Protection Unit of the University operates at the Department level and has the following mission:

  • The organization, mobilization and action of the services of the University in case of emergency or in time of war.
  • The implementation and evaluation of the policy and measures for protection and security issues within the University premises with the aim of ensuring the smooth and uninterrupted exercise of the educational, research, administrative and other activities of the University.
  • The support of the Security and Protection Committee of the University in the exercise of its responsibilities.
