bio-plastic from food waste is proven in lab scale, with main
limitation being the variation in quality and synthesis of the waste.
This principle will be tested in lab and larger (kilogram) scale and
with real food waste from the Municipality of Heraklion. The aim is to
solve all problems and limitations, and acquire the knowledge that will
be needed for developing this process at pilot scale. It will also
include the technical description of all components of this pilot
producing process. Planning and execution of the experiments, evaluation
of data and supervision of students will be required.
