The annual meeting of the Inter-Institutional Graduate Program in Environmental Biology will take place on Friday, 5 December 2025, at the exhibition hall of the Natural History Museum of Crete. This joint program is delivered by the Department of Biology of the University of Crete (UoC) and the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research (HCMR), with the support of the Natural History Museum of Crete (NHMC).

As in previous years, master’s students and doctoral candidates will present the progress of their research, highlight their key achievements, and engage in discussion with fellow graduate students, faculty, and researchers from the participating institutions. These exchanges are designed to strengthen their work and foster a collaborative academic environment.

The program’s curriculum and research activities focus on critical contemporary issues relating to ecosystems, biodiversity, and biological resources in both marine and terrestrial environments. The study program equips graduate students with state-of-the-art knowledge and skills in diverse fields of environmental research, including environmental protection, sustainable aquaculture development, ecology, fisheries sustainability, and biodiversity conservation—areas of particular importance for Greece.
