University of Crete
organized with great success on Saturday18 March 2023 a Career Day for all the
students and graduates.

The event was held at
the Voutes Campus in Heraklion. 43 companies
and organizations of various industries participated, aiming to match the
interests and needs of most of the participants/visitors.

The
event included informative panel discussions,
presentations, networking sessions for each business/organization as
well as career-related talks, postgraduate studies and entrepreneurship.

Hundreds of students and graduates have
participated from all the Faculties and Departments of both UoC campuses in
Rethymno and Heraklion. The event was an excellent opportunity for participants
to connect with recruiters and company executives, learn about the latest
trends in the labor market, discover new career prospects, gain important
knowledge about the options they have at postgraduate – doctoral level, and to be
involved in workshops and discussions on the importance of soft skills and
entrepreneurship as a career option.

The event was addressed by the Rector
of the University of Crete Gerorge Kontakis, and the
Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Lifelong Learning, International Relations
& Outlook, George Kossioris.
