On Monday 1
July 2024, at the Gallos University Campus in Rethymno, the Vice-Rector of
Finance and Infrastructure, Professor Konstantinos Spanoudakis, welcomed the
Dean of the Faculty of Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences of
the University of Cluj, Romania (Universitatea Babeș-Bolai din Cluj-Napoca),
Professor Calin Hintea.

The visit
of Dean Calin Hintea, who also holds the status of Special Advisor to the Mayor
of Cluj-Napoca (and former Prime Minister of Romania) Mr. Emil Bok, was aimed
at exploring future cooperation between the University of Crete and the
University of Cluj as well as between the two municipalities. These kind of collaborations have demonstrated
how universities may improve the standard of living and revitalize rural
economies.

In order to
reinforce this endeavor, representatives from both institutions will be
visiting the city and the University of Cluj in the upcoming October.
