Distinction of the Computer Science Department of the University of Crete in the Nationwide “Hellenic University Hack” Competition of Greek Universities
Congratulations to the “Daedalus” team (0xdeada1u5) from the Computer Science Department of the University of Crete for their remarkable achievement in winning first place in the “Hellenic University Hack” competition of Greek universities: https://unihack.ctflib.eu/. The “Hellenic University Hack” is a nationwide Capture The Flag (CTF) competition that invites students to delve into the world of cybersecurity and connect with their peers to collectively develop their digital skills. The competition is organized by the Hellenic Cybersecurity Team in collaboration with university teams across Greece.
This year, teams from the University of Piraeus, Democritus University of Thrace, University of the Aegean, Harokopio University, National Technical University of Athens, Ionian University, University of Crete, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Technical University of Crete, University of West Attica, Hellenic Mediterranean University, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, University of Macedonia, University of Thessaly, and International Hellenic University participated in the competition.
The University of Crete was represented by four teams. Congratulations to all the students who participated, and special congratulations to the “Daedalus” team (0xdeada1u5), which secured first place. The team members are Giorgos Goupos, Evangelos Golantas, Theologos Kokkinelis, Emmanouil Patronakis, and Yiannis Peioudis.
