A pioneer in remote sensing of atmospheric pollutants and greenhouse gases (GOME, SCIAMACHY, GOME-2), Professor Burrows has made significant contributions to climate change science. In this interview, he discusses current challenges and discoveries related to the climate crisis, as well as his collaboration with the University of Crete on research into how air pollution affects climate and ocean health. His work supports global efforts to address the climate crisis. Professor Burrows is a Fellow of the Royal Society and has received numerous international awards.
