The University of Crete proudly hosted a successful welcome event for its international students on Friday, September 22, 2023. The gathering took place at the Nikos Petridis Amphitheater of the Department of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics.

 Organized by the University of Crete’s Welcome Office, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from all students of the University’s foreign language programs, including those from the Erasmus and PhD programs. Esteemed academic members, colleagues and ESN students from the institution introduced the University’s structures and departments relevant to the students.

 Rector Prof. Georgios Kontakis delivered an address to the attendees, emphasizing the importance of international collaboration and the value of diverse perspectives in academia. Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Lifelong Learning, International Relations and Outreach, Prof. Georgios Kossioris, offered a brief greeting, further highlighting the university’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and vibrant academic community.

 The University of Crete extends its warmest welcome to all international students and looks forward to a fruitful academic year ahead.
