The UoC Department of Biology welcomed 33 students and 4 faculty members from CY Cergy Paris Université on May 19–20, 2025, as part of its internationalization and outreach initiatives.

The visit began with a welcome address and department presentation by the Head of the Department, Professor Kriton Kalantidis, followed by a campus tour at the Heraklion site, led by Ms. Chalkiti from the UoC Welcome Office.

Next, the French students and their professors visited research laboratories covering various research fields within the department. The guided visit offered valuable insights into the department’s research activities and their applications in health and environmental sciences.
