University of Crete Strengthens International Partnerships at EAIE 2025

The University of Crete (UoC) successfully participated for the second time in the EAIE Conference & Exhibition 2025, held in Gothenburg, Sweden, from 9–12 September. Represented at the Study in Greece booth alongside other Greek universities, the University of Crete highlighted its commitment to advancing Greece’s international academic presence.

The UoC delegation was represented by Professor Melina Tamiolaki, Vice-Rector for Development, International Affairs & Outlook, and Ms. Evgenia Skountaki, Head of the Welcome Office.

Highlights included participation in the KIWi Connect Greek–German matchmaking reception – capped by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Study in Greece and DAAD – and the “Greece meets Czechia” networking event at the Study in Czechia booth.

Through a series of targeted meetings with universities and national pavilions, the University of Crete identified concrete next steps for joint projects, reinforced strategic partnerships, and explored new initiatives to enhance mobility and research collaboration.

The University’s active presence at EAIE 2025 underlines its ongoing mission to foster international engagement and strengthen Greece’s position within the global higher education landscape.
