The Rector of the University of Crete, Professor Georgios M. Kontakis, addressed the students and extended his best wishes for a creative and successful academic journey, stating:

“Your admission to the university community is a significant achievement, and you deserve heartfelt congratulations for your success. The University of Crete is committed to providing you with the best possible environment for your academic, professional, and personal development.”

Greetings were also extended by the Vice Rectors:

  • Professor Maria Vamvakaki, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Lifelong Learning, and Research Policy,

  • Professor Sofia Schiza, Vice Rector for Administrative Affairs and Student Welfare.

During the events, students had the opportunity to learn about the University’s services and departments designed to provide continuous support throughout their studies. They were also introduced to the University’s Cultural Student Groups and enjoyed a vibrant and festive atmosphere with music, traditional dances, and a variety of treats.

The events were supported by the Region of Crete and the University’s sponsors, to whom the University of Crete expresses its sincere gratitude for their valuable contribution.
