Prof. Nikos Papadakis Selected as International Distinguished Visiting Professor at Parul University, India

Professor Nikos Papadakis of the Department of Political Science has been selected and subsequently invited to teach as an International Distinguished Visiting Professor at Parul University in India.

His selection followed the submission of his application under the university’s open international call for the International Visiting Professor Program 2025–2026 (IVPP) and the evaluation of candidates by the Academic Committee of the Center for International Relations and Research, which is responsible for overseeing the program.

As part of this appointment, Professor Papadakis has been invited to teach in September 2026 in the MA Program in Political Science within the Faculty of Liberal Arts at Parul University. In addition, he will deliver research seminars to the faculty’s academic staff and conduct research activities during his visit.

Parul University is one of the fastest-growing young universities in India. Founded in 1993, it has rapidly emerged as a leading higher education institution internationally. Among its distinctions, it is the youngest university in India to receive the highest accreditation grade, NAAC A++, from the country’s National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

The distinction awarded to Professor Nikos Papadakis further confirms the international recognition of his scholarly work and academic excellence. It also highlights the high quality and scientific standing of the academic staff of the University of Crete and aligns with the institution’s broader strategy of internationalization and global engagement.
