The GIREP-MPTL 2026 International Conference, hosted by the Science Teaching Laboratory (STL) of the Department of Primary Education, School of Education, at the University of Crete, is taking place from July 6–10, 2026, at the Gallos Campus in Rethymno.

Bringing together approximately 350 participants from around the world, the conference welcomes university faculty, researchers, postdoctoral scholars, doctoral candidates, and educators engaged in physics education research and the teaching of physics.

Held under the theme “Bridging Physics Education and Society in the Digital Era,” GIREP-MPTL 2026 provides an international forum for the exchange of innovative ideas, current research, and best practices in physics education. Throughout the week, participants will engage in plenary lectures, oral and poster presentations, workshops, panel discussions, and networking activities designed to foster international collaboration and advance research in science education.
