On February 9, 2026, more than 40 Erasmus+ students from countries within and beyond Europe chose to study or undertake their internship at the School of Philosophy, the School of Social Sciences, and the School of Education Sciences of the University of Crete. The Vice-Rector for Development, International Relations and Outreach warmly welcomed the new students, who selected the University of Crete as their academic destination, emphasizing the importance of internationalization and intercultural exchange for the academic community. Representatives of the Department of International Relations, university support structures, and student groups, such as ESN UoC, provided useful information and practical advice to facilitate their integration into the new academic community and everyday life in Rethymno, helping students feel welcome and part of a supportive and dynamic academic environment.
